Quieter and more discreet air-to-water heat pumps

CTC set the standard with its EcoAir heat pumps. Then the bar was raised in 2018 with the new 600M series: More efficient, quieter and with a discreet design.

CTC's EcoAir is one of Sweden's bestselling series of air-to-water heat pumps. The heat pumps in the latest CTC EcoAir 600M series come in three sizes (610M, 614M and 622M) and are suitable for everything from small houses to larger properties.

EcoAir 600M has an annual heat factor of 4.9 in SCOP. SCOP stands for Seasonal Coefficient Of Performance and is a measure of heat pump performance. The improvement compared to previous models varies between 8 and 16 percent, according to the EN14825 performance test.

New discrete design

The 600M series that was improved in 2018 also got a new look. The product has a dark graphite grey design to blend in well with the environments in which it is normally placed.

"Many people are interested in investing in environmentally friendly energy and have high demands. Mostly with regard to performance and noise levels, but design is also an important factor," says Joachim Carlsson, Head of Development at CTC.

Lower noise level on the air-to-water heat pump

At the same time, the heat pumps have become quieter than previous products and noise levels have decreased by up to 13 percent.

"In particular, the new series is better when it comes to performance and noise. We have raised the SCOP significantly and have made the heat pumps quieter," says Joachim Carlsson.

The noise levels have been reduced through extensive work to insulate vibrations from the compressor along with effective damping of the compressor noise.
