CTC buys neighbouring property and doubles production area
Heat pump manufacturer CTC continues its growth journey. To meet the growing heat pump market, the company acquires the neighbouring property to its headquarters in Ljungby and doubles its production area.
- Larger premises will allow us to grow even more, increase production and recruit more staff. It feels inspiring and exciting," says Helene Richmond, CEO of Enertech.
In 2021, CTC produced a record number of heat pumps, and the company expects to increase production in 2022. The transition to fossil-free heating has long been underway in Sweden, but is now beginning in earnest in the rest of Europe.
- We are seeing a huge increase in demand for heat pumps in several European countries and the EU wants to increase the use of heat pumps significantly. We will sell even more heat pumps in 2022 and expect to double our turnover within four years," she says.
Building a new test centre
The new property, Aggregatet 1, is located at Näsvägen 10 and was built in 2005. It has around 19,000 sqm for production and warehousing. In addition, there are about 4,000 sqm of offices, changing rooms and common areas.
Initially, part of CTC's warehousing operations will move here and it will also house a brand new test centre. In addition, there will be room for around 60 new office spaces.
- For the rest, the future will tell how best to use the new premises. The buildings are located right next to each other and this will allow us to create a well integrated operation with efficient work processes. We will grow at the right pace and in all departments," says Helene Richmond.
CTC currently has around 220 employees and is steadily recruiting more, currently mainly in development and production.
The start date is 31 August 2022.
