Yes, that works fine. You buy the accessories and your HVAC installer will organise a docking station.

We notice, for example, that many people are interested in keeping their old wood boilers. Not so that it can be used continuously with the new boiler, but more as a safety net in case something happens.

If it is a cold month and the air-to-water heat pump does not provide as much energy as you want, then you can fire up your wood boiler instead of buying electricity.

At CTC, we make sure that this option is available through various accessories. The installer will then arrange a docking solution, so that the systems can run together.

However, there are some exceptions. Sometimes the Swedish Energy Agency's rules prevent this. If the boiler's condition is too bad, it should not be docked to a new system. If you have any questions about your situation, contact your local CTC Partner.
