Warm and safe at home with Sjöströms

The Sjöström family has put a lot of time into creating a home that welcomes everyone. When the kids show up, with or without a coat, there's room. With a CTC heat pump, it's always warm.

- We want a safe and comfortable home, says Jenny and Göran Sjöström.

Jenny and Göran Sjöström have four children in Haninge, south of Stockholm. One boy still lives at home, the rest have flown the coop. But it's rarely permanent; because of the housing situation in Stockholm, it can sometimes be difficult to find accommodation when life moves in new directions.

Then the children may turn up again and live at home for a while.

- We've lived here for twenty years and there have been many refurbishments and conversions. Some kind of organised chaos," says Jenny.

"Became swimming by chance"

Their daughter is the sporting pro Sarah Sjöström, who last year won two world swimming championships in Budapest. She is currently redecorating her and her husband's newly purchased villa in Lidingö, so she is unlikely to make an appearance in the near future.

But her blue sofa is still in the basement where her father Göran, who works as an IT consultant, has his office.

- We haven't had any direct impact on her swimming. She has chosen that sport herself. She needed some physical activity when we came here and she started school. It became swimming mostly by chance," they say.

Upstairs, the medal cabinet is crammed with Sarah's various awards, including a handful of 'Female Athlete of the Year' awards from the Sports Awards.

It's good that we can reduce our heating costs and have better control over how we use our energy.

Great opportunities

Jenny and Göran hope that the house will soon take on a more definitive form - that the last wall has been moved. With the new CTC pump, they have a stable heating solution.

- It understands what the climate is like outside and automatically adjusts itself so that we always have even heat," says Göran Sjöström.

In the future, they want to connect the heat pump with the solar cells they are about to buy.

- It feels good that we can reduce our heating costs and have better control over how we use our energy. We want to live sustainably," they say.

Facts

Göran and Jenny Sjöström in Haninge have installed the CTC GSi 608 ground source heat pump, which means they can save up to 85 percent of their heating costs.

The heat pump is designed to cope with Nordic climates and thanks to the inverter control, it automatically adapts to the power requirements of the house throughout the year.

The CTC GSi can be connected to other energy sources through the EnergyFlex system and the heat pump is conveniently controlled from our user-friendly app.
